As a Manager, IT Systems, you will be responsible for administration of enterprise IT System operations for Kyocera Document Solutions throughout the America’s. This is a management role overseeing a team of dedicated IT professionals with various skill sets to help improve and maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, databases, servers, email systems, software, and end-user computing resources. The position leverages your blend of strong managerial, technical, and interpersonal skills to develop productive relationships within the IT team and business users. This important management role helps ensure IT business operations remain reliable, high performing, and conducive to maximizing value and efficiency throughout the enterprise.

Responsibilities

Manage, lead, perform hands on support for the implementation and maintenance of core IT systems using best practices and frameworks such as ITIL to continuously add value and efficiency to the organization.

Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration.

Track and maintain hardware and software inventory.

Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.

Perform database administration tasks, including regular backup and recovery operations, performance tuning and ingoing maintenance activities.

Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups.

Identify and recommend changes for areas in need of improvement by actively monitoring system performance, system logs, software/OS versions, end of life dates, vendor services, and service level agreements. 

Develops and administers instructions and/or conducts training for system users on operating systems, relational databases, and other applications; assists users in maximizing use of networks and computing systems.

Ensure compliance with Corporate Governance, Security and Audit policies, procedures, and best practices.

Develop and maintain relationships with Vendors, 3rd Party Business Partners and Service Providers. Ensure service providers perform to contractual SLAs and service obligations.

Develop and maintain productive relationships with direct reports, IT leadership, and business end users to ensure their needs are properly received, interpreted, prioritized, and managed.

Contribute to the creation of enterprise strategies, policies, and procedures as they relate to IT Systems and Operations, supervising a dedicated team of IT professionals who are responsible for supporting the technology needs of Kyocera Document Solutions America, Inc.

Work directly with IT leadership and Cybersecurity teams to continuously support and improve Cybersecurity programs, cyber defenses, vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and remediations using rightsized technology solutions, external vendors, and best practices to protect corporate endpoints, networks, databases, and system access.

Manage and help maintain the escalation process for issues received from other Kyocera Document Solutions America, Inc. IT groups.

Qualifications

Required:

Management or supervisory experience leading technical staff such as system engineers and administrators.

BS Computer Science, BS in a related field, or extensive work experience.

Minimum 7 years of progressive experience supporting IT systems for medium to large organizations in a team environment.

Proficiency with server operating systems and administration for Windows, Linux/Unix, security practices, enterprise networking, authentication systems including SSO, OS scripting, malware prevention, traffic analysis, log analysis, load balancers, and broad exposure to IT hardware and software.

Experience with managed cloud data centers and different deployment resource types (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, DRaaS).

Experience with Cloud server platforms such as AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud.

Experience with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery practices and technologies.

Experience with Azure AD and Office 365.

Experience implementing and managing email security and SPAM gateways.

Experience with server virtualization using VMware, HyperV or similar technologies.

Excellent analytical, time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.

The ability to routinely support IT operations, departmental strategy, and priorities.

Good written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)

Experience working with teams that are available 24/7 including on and offshore resources.

Ability to travel 10% of the time when needed (overnights included)

Company paid relocation is not provided to the Fairfield, NJ office. The candidate must self-relocate.

Preferred:

Relevant Certifications with Microsoft Azure products (Administrator, Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security Engineer)

Relevant Certifications with Microsoft 365 (Administrator Expert)

Experience leveraging, managing, and integrating cloud-based applications.

Experience with various database systems including their administration, performance, maintenance, and upgrades.

Experience managing and implementing systems in medium to large organizations.

Experience working on stressful events such as severity 1 system incidents.

Experience supporting the implementation of organizational change and process reengineering.

Experience creating and maintaining system documentation.

Ability to translate business non-technical requirements to technical requirements and the reverse.

Experience working in an ORACLE/SAP environment.

Versed in methodologies and frameworks such as ITIL, Agile, COBIT, etc.

Experience working with ITSM systems such as ServiceNow.

Experience working with/for a Japanese company or the copier industry.
